The Mrs Johns, Clear Lake, whose residence at Clear Lake was mentioned in the West Wimmera Mail as Louisa' place of death, would almost certainly be Louisa's daughter Matilda, mother of eleven of Louisa's grandchildren. Susannah Heard nee Johns' mother had died the year before, in 1902.

Louisa died at Clear Lake and was buried at Noradjuha. She died at the residence of Mrs Johns who was probably the mother of Susannah Heard nee Johns (wife of Louisa's son, William Henry.
