John K. Parsons was born, probably at Machias, Maine, about 1819, ^[1] reportedly the son of Jeremiah Parsons and Lydia Phinney; ^[2] died, perhaps at East Machias, after 8 Jun 1880, when he was enumerated there in the 1880 U.S. census. ^[3]

He married (1) at East Machias, 16 Oct 1845, Mary Elizabeth Chase; ^[4] married (2) at East Machias, 28 Jun 1859, Eliza C. Beverly. ^{[5] [6]}
