I tracked Ada a little further to see if the Perkins family would lead back to Grayson County--it lead to a Pennsylvania branch of Perkins instead. Based on the information from the 1900 Census, Ada was married before she married Luther-I have not researched any further.

See photos. An enumeration error caused Nellie (daughter, age 8, birth Mar 1892) to be listed on the next page. From this record, it appears that Alonzo (AKA Lawence H.—see below) is Luther Perkins adopted son from Ada’s previous marriage.
