Robert Parsons was born on July 15, 1919 in Oil City, Pennsylvania to George M. Parsons and Marian A. (Whipple) Parsons. At some point in his early life, his grandfather and step-grandmother Ernest A. Whipple and Blanche L. (Strayer) Whipple took him to raise.[1] and he took the Whipple name.
He attended Lehigh University in Bethleham, Pennsylvania, majoring in Chemical Engineering.[2]
After his WWII service, he settled in Akron, Ohio and was living there in 1950.[3]
He passed away on Feb. 11, 2007 in Los Angeles Co., California.[4]
