Josiah, was United in Marriage on March 27, 1795 Gloucester, Essex, Massachusetts to Bethiah Abbott, who passed 01 Jun 1804. They had one daughter Bethiah Parsons who was born April 6, 1797, she married twice Bennett, Millett.
Josiah's 2nd marriage to Charlotte R. Norwood, (her first marriage) took place on Jan. 20, 1805 Gloucester, Essex, Massachusetts. They had eight children, Samuel Norwood Parsons 1805, Samuel Norwood Parsons 1806, Samuel Norwood Parsons, 1807, Lucinda (Parsons) Nash 1809, Mary Norwood (Parsons) Gault, 1810, Charlotte (Parsons, Dow) Jones 1811, Josiah Parsons Jr. 1812 and Margaret (Parsons) Wescott 1814. Their first two sons, passed in the same yr. they were born.
