Biography

Jonathan Parsons (recorded as "Persons" at birth and marriage) was born in early February of 1686/7, a son of Jeffrey Parsons and Abigail (Younglove) Parsons, and was baptized at some point before 1703 at the First Parish Church of Gloucester in the Province of Massachusetts Bay.^[1] He married Lydia Stanwood on the 6th of February, 1710/11, at Gloucester.

Jonathan was clearly alive as late as 1728 -- the conception and birth year of the couple's son David; he is thought to have died in 1742.
