Biography

Parents had marital problems, and several periods of separation. Father Eric Partridge finally left the marital home in Ealing in Sep 1968. Mother Betty died in 1975. After leaving school at 17, Stewart worked as a lab assistant before taking day release / night classes, and then in 1972 went to University College, Cardiff, originally to study Geology; although he later switched to Chemistry. He received his B.Sc (Hons) in 1977, and then moved to Grove, near Wantage, Oxfordshire, UK and took work as a R&D chemist at Autotype International Ltd, developing special coated film and chemical products for the printing industry. After many years in R&D, he transferred to become Technical Service Manager and took responsibility for global technical service and training for the company's products. In 1986 he met Julie Hyde, and the couple lived together from 1987 until 2010, when Stewart relocated to Shanghai as his primary residence.

He later moved into marketing, becoming a Product Group Manager, then Marketing Manager, finally Strategic Business Development Manager. In 1993, he left to found a new consultancy service company Web Consulting Ltd, and grew the company by establishing a subsidiary company in Boston, USA; establishing an office in Shanghai, China; and acquiring a US-based consultancy business. After managing this business for 13 years, he took an offer from US ink manufacturer Nazdar to become global Director of their Digital Business Unit. Later, he became Asia Pacific Sales Director, based out of UK and Shanghai.

Hi Stewart,

I haven’t heard back from you about the break up of the United Kingdom Project. I hope all is well with you. I assume you don’t wish to join any of the country-level projects at present, and will go ahead and remove the United Kingdom badge. If you wish to join England, Scotland, Wales or Ireland in the future, you would be most welcome to do so via the respective G2G sign-up post.

Many thanks for all your contributions,

Susie :-)

Hi Stewart,

We realise the time has come to dissolve the UK Project in favour of the individual country projects of England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland.

We are checking in with all UK badge holders to find out which country project(s) you would like to be in so you can collaborate with other members, have the opportunity to select which team(s) you would like to join, and so we can ensure you have all the correct badges.

Please respond by PM to let us know which country project(s) you would like to be in. Please don’t assume we know. We are effectively starting from scratch to make sure no one falls through the cracks.

Once you have done this, the Coordinator for Membership in the relevant country project(s) will be in touch to help get you situated.

Many thanks,

Susie

Hi Stewart

On behalf of the England Project Leaders we're carrying out a check-in to see how all the members are doing and taking the opportunity to thank you for all your hard work over the past six months. We have been so impressed with the way everyone has rallied together and gone the extra mile to make this one of the most dedicated, productive and friendly communities on WikiTree. What are you enjoying most about being in the project? What would you like to see improved or changed? Would you like to continue in the project moving forwards?

We're looking forward to hearing back from you,

Susie, Gillian, Wendy and Amy

Are you still happy contributing to the England Project?

Please PM me through my profile and let me know how you are doing :)

Thank you :)

Thanks for your desire to help with merging, please read through the instructions first. Merging Help It is important that you explain why you think they are duplicates, ie same dates, places or parents, husband and it is important that you assure that if there are duplicate parents, you propose those merges, also. Also, when completing a merge assuring that there are no duplicate headings, and that the biography matches the data is important. Thanks again.
