Biography

George was a housewright.

Birth

George Partridge was born 17 Aug 1690.^[1]He was the son of John Partridge and Hannah Seabury.^[2]

Marriage

He was married to Lydia Keen, daughter of Josiah Keene, in Pembroke, Massachusetts, on 18 March 1712/3.^[3] She was his first wife. In September 1713, George Partridge and Lydia his wife were charged with fornication before marriage, apparently because their first child was deemed to have been born too soon after their marriage. ^[4]

Death

George Partridge died in Duxbury, Massachusetts, on 14 January 1768, at the reported age of 77 years, 5 months.^[5]

Probate

The will of George Partridge of Duxbury, housewright was dated 14 May 1764 and proved on 4 April 1768 in Plymouth. He mentions his wife, Hannah, his children, Samuel Partridge (eldest son), James Partridge, Mable Coomer, wife of William Coomer, Sarah Partridge, wife of John Partridge, George Partridge (youngest son) (executor), and his grandchildren, Ziba Hunt, Sarah Hunt, and Partridge Richardson.^[6]
