Biography

Michael was a tailor by trade, owner of a Tavern, and owner of a mill as wheat was a major crop of Pennsylvania in this time period. Conrad purchased the Mill from his father for a 100 pounds cheaper as mentioned in his final Will and thus was given 100 pounds less in the final disposition of Michael Sr Estate. The first Will of 1763 names his wife Anna Maria as executor of the Will to own the farm and receive 150 pounds and Reservations from the sale of the Mill to Conrad. The second Will Aug. 5 1774 mentions Michael Jr deceased (Anna Maria is now deceased) and Conrad and Maria Rosina and Michael Jrs' 3 children (mother Eva Dunkel) would each get a equal share of his Estate. Executors of my Will is my son in law Peter Barris (father of Maria Rosina first child out of wedlock ?) and my son in law Martin Ginsinger husband of Maria Rosina. This Will was written by Nicholas Hermany at the request of Michael Henninger but he died before it was executed. The third Will was written while Michael was living with his daughter Maria Rosina Ginsinger and husband Martin Ginsinger and was written and witnessed by Martin Ginsinger and Nicholas Hermany September 20 1774 and signed by them as this was Michael Henningers last will and testament and similar to the one above. Sources All the Wills and Bastard Court Files are located in Berks, County Pa., Register of Wills/Clerk of the Orphans' Court, Berks County Services Center, 2nd Floor, Reading Pa. I ordered all his documents and they were all scanned and optimized by Linda S. Brennan a Henninger descendant and you can download and use in your Family History. http://www.stokesbury.org/family/heninger/heningerdownload1.html
