FIRST WEDDING CEREMONY.

The new and beautiful church of the Little Flower, Crossroads, West Wollongong, was the scene of a picturesque wedding on Saturday, December 14, when Inez Zewkoff, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Zewkoff, of Urunga-parade, West Wollongong, was married to Michael Henry Pass, son of Mrs. and the late John Pass, West Wollongong. Rev. Father J. Mulheren, recently appointed in charge of the new parish, performed the ceremony, which, was a notable occasion In the history of the parish, being the first wedding celebrated at the new church. The bride, attractive in old world lace and carrying a sheaf of white gladioli, entered the church with her father, who gave her away. Miss Terry Pass (sister of the bridegroom) was bridesmaid and Mrs. V. Halllnan (sister of the bride) was matron of honor, both wearing attractive frocks of blue net over moire taffeta. Little Robin Hallinan in white net was train bearer. During the ceremony Mr. James Simpson rendered an 'Ave Maria,' whilst Mrs. Jurgen presided at the organ. The reception was held at the Soldiers' Memorial Hall. where the mother of the bride, Mrs. George Zewkoff, received about seventy guests, many of them coming from Sydney. Mr. Sullivan acted as chairman and later Father Mulheren called to convey his best wishes and congratulate the happy couple. The bride left for the honeymoon wearing navy georgette with white accessories.[3]
