Biography

Maud Pateshull was born about 1320, Paston, Norfolk, England, and died 28 September 1359. Maud is the daughter of John Pateshull and Mabilla Grandison.

In October 1359 when the Inquisitions Post Mortem were taken following the death of her brother Sir William, her son Roger was said to be 15 years and older.^[1] If she married at 15 or 16, as did her sister Katherine, this would put her birth about 1328. Her three surviving sisters were born about 1335, 1337 and 1339, so if she was the eldest child these dates are consistent.

Maud was the first wife of Walter Fauconberg.^[2]
