Burnett was born in 1879. He was the son of Alvin Patterson and Amanda Fields. He passed away in 1964.
His first wife Amelia died giving birth to their daughter Amelia in 1904. He married his second wife, Susa Emma Maxson, in 1907.

Burnett Prior Patterson, son of Alvin N. and Amanda Fields Patterson, was born Nov. 6, 1879, at Slaytonville, Ark., and died at Denver, Colo., July 3, 1964.
On May 16, 1907, he married Miss Susa Maxson of Gentry, Ark. They lived in North Loup, Neb., for a time before coming to Denver where Mr. Patterson was engaged in the grocery business. He was known for his ready smile and kindly nature. He was the second oldest member of the Denver Seventh Day Baptist Church at the time of his death.
Surviving besides his wife are his children: Mrs. Amelia Fry, Sallisaw, Ark.; Thurman A., Colorado Springs; Gordon, Denver; Wayne, Buena Vista, Calif.; Merlyn, Twentynine Palms, Calif.; and Malcolm, Denver; as well as eleven grandchildren and one great-grandchild. A daughter, Mrs. Thelma P. Davis, preceded her father in death. [1]
