Biography
When Mary Anna Patterson was born on December 22, 1823, in Tate, Georgia, her father, Rowland, was 33, and her mother, Nancy, was 29. She married Edward Ezekial Townsend in 1839 in her hometown. They had seven children in 10 years. She died as a young mother on February 9, 1853, in Tate, Georgia, at the age of 29, and was buried there.
