James Silas Patterson was born on July 14, 1859 in Adair County, KY to Silas Patterson and Nancy Traylor.[1] He is listed in the 1870 Census as living in Adair Co., Kentucky with his parents and siblings.[2] He is listed in the 1880 Census living in Hillsboro, Texas, with his brother George W. Patterson and family.[3] In 1907 he sued his brother George to collect a debt.[4]James married Sarah Elizabeth Fancher on February 25, 1890.[5][6][7][8] He passed away on July 3, 1936, and is buried beside Elizabeth in Claude Cemetary, Armstrong County, Texas.[9][10]
