Biography

Alexander was born in 1862. He is the son of George Patterson and Jessie Lyon. He passed away about 1938. [1]

A gentleman respected by all, he farmed Section No. 298 Hd Monato on a property known as "glen Avon". Alex was an Elder of the Presbyterian Church at Monato. He also served as Councillor in Monarto Council and was a very civic mind person. A keen cricketer, he had a reputation as a leg break bowler, enjoyed considerable success a rifleman, having won the King's medal at the Dean Rifle Range at Port Adelaide. In his later years he was also a keen bowls enthusiast.
