Biography
William Patterson was born born on 4 Feb 1730, married Ruth McEwen on 10 Nov 1757 and died on 17 Jan 1762, all in Stratford, Fairfield County, Connecticut Colony, according Elisha Patterson's research published in 1892,[1]
His inventory was taken on 13 March 1761 in Stratford and recorded in Fairfield County.[2] In addition to his chattel, he owned several parcels of land around the county.
His properties were distributed 4 March 1760. His widow Anna retained a one-third interest in all his properties. Also receiving lands were his sons, Joseph (eldest), Charles (second son), William (third son), Thomas (fourth son), Samuel (fifth son), and Abel (sixth son).[3]
