Harriet died on 8 Jan. 1878 at Coudersport, Potter Co., Pennsylvania and was buried at Nelson Cemetery, Nelson Township. Her memorial has her date of birth and death and notes: "Inscription:
Wife of Wm Peck."[8]

Died in Coudersport, Potter Co., Pa., at the residence of son, C.L. Peck, Esq., formerly of this County, on the 8th of Jan., Mrs. Harriet Peck, for many years resident of Farmington. Mrs. Peck was born in Masonville, Delaware Co., N.Y., in 1820, and was 58 years old at the time of her death. She married at the age of 18 to William Peck, of Delaware Co., and moved with her husband and parents to what was then the town of Elkland, Tioga Co., Pa., where her father continued to reside up to the time of his death - - about 2 years ago. Mr. Peck purchased a tract of land in Farmington Township of the Bingham Trustees; and Mrs. Peck (lived there) for more than 35 years. The remains of Mrs. Peck were brought to this place for interment and deposited beside her Father's in the Cemetery on the hill. Rev. H.C. Moyer conducted the ceremonies. Nelson, Pa.[1]
"Will Peck married Harriet Paul , daughter of still another sister of Great-grandmother Polly's sister Lois who married Joseph Paul and lived in the vicinity of Nelson from about 1840 on. The Peck farm joined Grandpa Charles Weeks' farm on the east, lying between his farm and the old Weeks place where Uncle John R. Weeks lived. Charlie Peck owned the place all the years he lived in Coudersport....His daughter May and her husband..Evans was their family name...Charlie .. dying between 1915 and 1920.

"REV. WILLIAM PECK united with the M. E. church in boyhood, and about the year 1831 became an exhorter, and subsequently a minister. He has performed the duties of the sacred office to some extent to this time, although carrying on a farm. He was born in Delaware county, N.Y., in 1814. His first wife was Harriet Paul, of Nelson, and his second, Sarah J. Judd, of Potter county.
