It has been determined through 25 years + of figuring out this family group, that Samuel and his 2nd wife Judith Burton took in Rachel Margaret and James Jr after James Paul Srs death in 1785. Samuel and Judith had no children together. Robert and Martha were from an unknown/still to be determined 1st marriage.

James Paul Sr is either Samuel's brother or 1st cousin. (As they are never listed together under any household from America to the moon). Their fathers were most likely brothers and they were 1st born sons to each, hence the close relationship of the two moving abroad together and Samuel "adopting/taking in" James' youngest children after his death.
