William Paul migrated from Ireland to New Zealand.

Biography

William was born in 1831. His father was John Paul (abt.1810-).

He was in the Irish Royal Constabulary

William Paul and Isabella Gracey were married 2nd October 1855 in Limerick, Ireland.^[1][2]

They emigrated to Geelong, Melbourne, Victoria on the ship "Arthur the Great" in 1856.

William Paul joined the Victorian police and was posted to Portland, Victoria.

In the 1860s, William and Isabella moved to New Zealand as military settlers in Taranaki, where he served with No.1 company Patea Bush Rangers. ^{[3] [4]}

William Paul passed away in 1892, his will probated in 1893. ^[5]
