West Bloomfield, N. Y. - Mrs. Mary Paul Elton died at the home of her son, James Elton, on Saturday, after a two days illness with pneumonia . Mrs. Elton was the last surviving member of a family of seven children. She was born 90 years ago in this town and spent nearly her whole life here where she was highly respected and esteemed. In 1888 her husband, Nathaniel C. Elton, died, since which time she has lived with her son, who is the only surviving member of her family, a son and daughter having died some years ago. The deceased was of such a bright, cheerful disposition, she will be greatly missed in the home. Her often expressed wish that she might pass away without making any trouble for anyone was granted. Besides her son, James Elton, she leaves eight grandchildren. Her funeral was held Tuesday afternoon, Rev. Charles Hamblin officiating. Interment was in the Rural cemetery.
