George Frederick Pavitt -- and his three brothers -- emigrated to Australia from England prior to the start of World War I; all served in the Australian Army. George returned to England during the war; there, in 1916, he married Alice Rosina Day, and then came back to New South Wales. The couple had at least two sons, George and John William. George, Sr., passed away at Peakhurst, a Sydney suburb in the St. George Area, in March of 1959.
