The United States Census, 1900[1] found Everet Pavy, a 24 year old married white male, born March 1876 in Indiana to a father born in Virginia and a mother born in Indiana, living in Randolph Township (excl. Rising Sun city), Ohio County, Indiana. With him were his wife Mary, born June 1876 in Indiana to a father born in Germany and a mother born in Indiana; and his older brother John, born June 1872. Mary was enumerated as not yet having had any children but would give birth to son Leroy in December of that year. The family resided on a farm and were enumerated as renters, and the farm as mortgaged; Everett's occupation was "Farmer" and John's was "Farm Laborer". All three were enumerated as able to read and write.

With him were his three children, his two brothers, and a housekeeper. Housekeeper Margaret Hale was a 61 year old widowed woman, mother of 4 children, 2 now living. Everett worked as a tobacco farmer and John as a farm laborer, and brother Leroy's job was "Agent", industry "Lamps". The two brothers were listed as single.

Everett was a 35 year old white male, born 01 Mar 1876 in Switzerland County, Indiana, the son of Samuel Pavy and Julia Steimburger. Father and mother's birthplace and residence were recorded; Samuel was born in Pennsylvania and now resided in Jackson County, Indiana, and Julia was born in Jackson County, Indiana, now deceased. Lillie was a 34 year old white female, born November 1877 in Ohio County, Indiana, the daughter of John U Talbott and Mary J Williamson. Father and mother's birthplace and residence were recorded; John was born in Ohio County, Indiana where he resided, and Mary was born in Boone County, Kentucky and resided in Rising Sun, Indiana. The officiant was W N Fletcher.[3]

United States Census, 1930[4] found Everette Pavey, a 54 year old married white male, born in Indiana to parents born in Indiana, renting a house for $12 a month at 115 2nd Street, Rising Sun, Ohio County, Indiana. With him were his wife Pearl L. and his adult son Lorey H. Everett's occupation was Farm Laborer; Lorey had no occupation listed.

United States Census, 1940[5] found Everett Pavy, a 64 year old married white male, born in Indiana, living in a home he rented for $12 a month at 208 Second Street, Rising Sun, Randolph Township, Ohio County, Indiana. With him were his wife Pearl and their son Lara/Lora. Everett worked on a farm but had only worked 15 weeks in 1939, and Lora was a watchman at a chair factory; he had worked 52 weeks in 1939.
