Biography

Helen C Payette LaFountain (Fountain) Gebo

She is the daughter of Theophilus Payette Theopolus Payette and Odille Dalpe Odille Dalpe

In 1920 census Helen and Albert lived on Loomis Street, Burlington. It says he was a petroleum agent. In 1910, he was listed as a farmer and had Hazel, age 17, was living with them. In 1900, they lived in Castleton Town, West Side of Rutland. He was a General merchant.

Helen and Albert lived in Winooski and Burlington. Ray Seguin would visit them with his father Ed and grandmother Odile (Helen's sister). "Raymond remembers she had something in her ear with a wire attached to a small box she would carry around. This was attached to a large ear horn she used to point at what she was trying to listen to."

Helen was born 12 January 1849 in Clintonville, NY.

Marriage

She first married Frank LaFountain, bearing 2 children Emma and Jessie. The marriage is listed as Plattsburg however the following source reference is Keeseville, NY

Francois, his marriage to Helene Payette, Aug 16, 1869. [1]

Helene's first husband, Francis Xavier Fountain, died in 1875, leaving Helene and at least two daughters, Emma and Jessie.

After Frank's death in 1876, age 31, she married Albert Nelson Gebo (Gibeau), having one daughter Cora Paige Gebo.

Death

Helen died in her home on 19 May 1936, Winooski, Vermont (heart disease [2]
