Benjamin was born in 1806. He was the son of Benjamin Payne and Mary "Polly" (Martin) Payne. On February 7, 1838 he married Ann Maria Sanders in Barren, Kentucky.[1] They are listed together on both: the 1850 Census[2] and the 1860 Census[3] in Barren, Kentucky. It is believed that they had at least eight children. He passed away in 1871.

There is a find a grave memorial and a family search profile for a Benjamin M. Payne with the exact birth/death dates listed here. However, the parents and siblings do not match.
