Anna Elizabeth Payne was born in Polk, Polk County, Missouri on the 8th of March, 1876[1] to Jesse Payne and Sarah Bewley.

Mrs. Annie E. House, 93, a lifelong resident of Polk County, died in the Davis Nursing Home in Springfield, at 11:45 PM after a brief illness.
She was a member of the First Baptist church in Bolivar.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Nellie LaBrot, Santa Paula, Calif., and Mrs., Gladys Lamkull of Oakdale, Calif.; two sons, Elvert of Grandby and Jesse of Bolivar; three brothers, Dwight and Isaac Payne of Polk and Jesse Payne of Bolivar; 13 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Saturday, November 23 in Butler chapel at 2 PM with the Rev. J. Leland Hall officiating. Escorts were Allen Russell House, Joe E. House, Roy D. House, Leon Gullet, Mose Voris and Loren Murray. Burial was in Payne Cemetery at Polk under the direction of Butler Funeral Home.
