DEATH CLAIMS LIFELONG RESIDENT OF POLK^[11]

Mrs. Martha Pearl Roberts, 77, a llifelong resident of Polk, died at her home about 2:30 am Sunday following a lingering illness. She was a member of a pioneer Polk family and of Sentinel Baptist church.

Surviving are her husband, Amos; three daughters, Mrs. Annie Walkk,er Polk; Mrs. Atha Ragsdale, Kearney, and Mrs. Ada Jump, Bolivar; eight sons, Claude Bolivar; Clifford, Pittsburg; jesse Sotckton, and Fred, Albert, Cleo, Leslie and Ester, all of Polk; four brothers, Jim Payne, Hafway, Jesse Payne, Bollivar, and Isaac and Dwight Payne, both of Polk; two sisters, mrs. Anna House, bolivar, and Mrs. Nancy Emory Goodson; 25 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

Services were held at 2 pm Tuesday in Mount View Baptist Church at Polk with Rev. Artie Seamster and Rev. Clarence Salsman officiating. Burial was in Paynce Cemetery uder direction of Pitts of Bolivar.
