• His WWI draft card states birth year of 1895^[1] , however SSDI^[2] shows 1894
• There is a William W Payne who married Lela, but I am not convinced that is him, as that shows a child in 1930 that would have been on his 1920 census and on the 1920 with his parent he is listed as single, as well his middle initial is S for Seth

The early years

Willie Seth Payne was born in Cosfield, Texas^[1] on Dec 8th, 1894^{[1] [2]} to Thomas Payne and Melissa Bewley.

About 1917 he confirmed he was of a medium height with blue eyes, dark hair and was working as a farmer , living in Rosston Texas^[1]

In 1920^[5]

Death

He died on the 11th December of 1985^[2] in Wise, Texas^[6]and he would be buried in the Oaklawn Cemetery in Decatur, Wise County, Texas^[7]
