Biography
Sarah Louisa was born in 1801 in Tennessee. [1]
She is unlikely to have been the daughter of William C Payne and Sarah (Manas) Paine. Sarah "Manas" Payne was living in Georgia near Sarah and Betsy. We need to find the parents of this Sarah, unless she's simply "Louisa".
When Sarah Louisa was about 22 she married John Lowry on 16 August 1823 in Greene, Tennessee, United States. The couple had 8 children: John S Lowery., James W Lowery, Jesse William Lowery, Mary Lowery, Robert R Lowery., Adaline Lowery, Pinkney Logan Lowery and David Lowery.[2][3]
In the 1850 census Sarah Louisa (age about 49) was living in District 13, Jefferson, Tennessee, United States.[1]
