Surname appears as both "Payne" and Pain" in sources. Rebecca was Baptised on Mar 27, 1783. Her mother Elizabeth's maiden name is taken from the Baptism record of her sister Martha. The parents' names are consistent with children baptised every ~2 years. Rebecca may have died in childbirth in 1823. Baby Edward was born and passed away in 1823 and husband Thomas remarried Mary Stimpson before the birth of their first child, John in 1828.
