Rose Ethel Paynter (married name Harris) was born on 12 March 1885 in Echuca, Victoria, Australia, daughter of Sarah Elizabeth Paynter and William Henry Paynter.^{[citation needed]}

She married William John Harris on 4 July 1911 in Victoria.^[1] Their son was:

Rose died on 24 September 1948 in Warragul, Victoria, aged 63 years.^[3]
