Biography
Inez Rebecca was born in Barre, Vermont, in 1884, the daughter of William and Abbie (Wood) Peabody.[1] Her father died when she was young, in 1890.
Inez was 14 years old when she was admitted to The Hospital Cottages for Children in Baldwinville, Massachusetts, in 1892.[2] She was a patient was 28 years, including at the time of the censuses of 1900,[3] 1910,[4] and 1920.[5] In August of 1920, she was transferred to the Massachusetts School for the Feeble-Minded in Waltham. She remained at the Waltham institution, later renamed the Fernald State School, for the rest of her life.[6]
She died there in 1935 and is buried at the Fairview Cemetery in Grafton, Massachusetts, with her parents.[7]
