Christian B. "Chris" Peachey, 93, of Valley View Haven, Belleville, passed away at 1:45 a.m. Monday, Dec. 7, 2015, at the Haven.

Born Feb. 3, 1922, in Allensville, he was the son of the late Ezra F. Peachey and Ellie (Peachey) Peachey.

He was preceded in death by: his first wife, Nannie M. (Swarey) Peachey, whom he married Dec. 17, 1942, she passed away Oct. 9, 1964; his second wife, Rebecca L. (Wengerd) Peachey, whom he married Oct. 27, 1966, she passed away March 18, 1992; and his third wife, Mary (Raber) Peachey, who he married July 9, 1995, she passed away Jan. 13, 2004.

Chris is survived by: children, Benjamin E. Peachey and wife, Sadie, of Turbotville, Ella B. Peachey, of McVeytown, Sarah S. and husband, Ammon Peachey, of Belleville, Emma L. and husband, David Wengerd, of Lewisburg, Jonas C. Peachey and wife, Susie, of McVeytown, Mary N. and husband, Vernon Peachey, of Rochelle, Va., Crist B. Peachey Jr. and wife, Katie, of Belleville, Malinda A. and husband, Jesse Peight, of Allensville, Amos J. Peachey and wife, Janelle, of Belleville, Thomas A. Peachey and wife, Bonnie, of Blackville, S.C., Naomi R. and husband, Mark Martin, of Middleton, Mich., Esther E. and husband, John Zimmerman, of Barron, Wis., Nancy R. and husband, Curvin Zimmerman, of Lime Springs, Iowa, and Susan A. Peachey, of Lime Springs, Iowa; a daughter-in-law, Katie L. Peachey, of Belleville; 88 grandchildren; 300 great-grandchildren; 13 great-great-grandchildren; stepchildren, Melvin, Effie, Paul, Martha, Jona, Steven, Grace, Mark, Eldo and Donald; 36 step-grandchildren; 64 stepgreat-grandchildren; sisters, Susie E. Peachey, of Belleville, and Amelia and husband, Jonas Bender, of Mifflinburg.

In addition to his parents and his wives, he was also preceded in death by: a son, Sylvan Peachey; six grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; five brothers; and nine sisters.

Chris was a dairy farmer and the owner of Peachey Harness Shop in Belleville.He was a member of Rock Haven Church of God in Christ Mennonite.He enjoyed working with leather until around the age of 90. He took a keen interest in his children and grandchildren, enjoyed spending time with his family and many friends.

His funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 12, 2015, at Locust Grove Mennonite Church, with Ministers Melvin Peachey and Stanton Schmidt officiating. Burial will take place at Rock Haven Cemetery.

His family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Rock Haven Mennonite Church.Arrangements are under the care of Henderson Funeral Home Inc., 3813 W. Main St., Belleville, PA 17004 ^[1]
