Obituary
Martha E. Yoder, 69, of 7020 Allard Road, died Tuesday at her home, where she was under the care of her family and Hospice of Jefferson County.
Born June 1, 1937, in Belleville, Pa., she was a daughter of Jonathan C. and Katie Peachey.
She married Jesse J. Yoder on April 21, 1960. The couple owned and operated a dairy farm in Pennsylvania before relocating to the Woodville area in 1994 with several of their children and grandchildren.
Mrs. Yoder was a member of the Northern Light Church. An artist, she enjoyed painting, quilting, gardening and beekeeping.
Surviving besides her husband are three daughters and their husbands, Mary Ellen and Mark Hostetler, Rock Stream, Julia and Chester Zook, Milroy, Pa., and Olive and Louie Peachey Jr., Woodville; three sons and their wives, D. Timothy and Arlene, Mannsville, Timothy and Lois, Lewisburg, Pa., and Jonathan and Brenda, Centerville, Mich.; a brother, Mahlon Peachey, Belleville, Pa.; two sisters, Arie Byler, Timewell, Ill., and Nannie Peachey, Belleville, Pa., and 33 grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Belleville Henderson High School. Burial will be in the Woodville Mennonite Cemetery.
Calling hours will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Northern Light Church. Arrangements are with Carpenter-Stoodley Funeral Home, Belleville.
