Biography

Comparing our family tree to the one found on Ancestry... the Shaw family tree on ancestry had Charles as son of Thomas and Margaret Peacock in a very different place than where our family lived... it is a research problem to assume names in distant places may be connected if there is no family information that connects the two... we know that John and Levina Peacock came from England and married in Cayuga County, NY, in 1858, then Charles was born before the 1860 census and they are listed in the Owasco, Cayuga County, NY, 1860 census. This goes well with the censuses of Owasco and Homer and Venice, NY, and with the cemetery lists of the Homer Atwater cemetery, now found on Find a Grave, showing very well who Charles Peacock's parents are.

Charles was born in 1860. He is the son of John Peacock and Lavina Culley. ^[1]
