Biography

Note: Woodstock was part of Suffolk County, Massachusetts, until 1731 when it became part of Worcester County, Massachusetts. In 1749, Woodstock became a town in Windham County, Connecticut.[1]

Jonathan was born in 1663. He was the son of Jonathan Peake and Sarah Walker. He passed away in 1744.

Probate

Jonathan Peake of Woodstock, yeoman died intestate and on 20 September 1744, his widow Mehitabel was granted the administration of his estate.[2][3]

In 1748, his son Lemuel Peak, minor age about 15 years, chose Daniel Paine to be his guardian.[4] John Frissell was appointed guardian of his daughters, Lucy aged about 11 years old,[5] and Sabra, aged about 8 years old.[6] Daniel Paine was also appointed guardian of his son Thomas, age about 6 years old.[7]
