Biography

Irish architect Sir Edward Lovett Pearce and his wife Ann Pearce (his 1st cousin) had four daughters who were heirs of Whitlingham Manor at Norwich in Norfolk.

He is known as the father of Irish Palladian and Georgian Dublin architecture. Edward was appointed Surveyor General of Ireland as architect of the Parliament building in 1730. He was highly acclaimed for his design and after the first Parliament was held in the new structure he was both knighted in 1732 and given the freedom of the city of Dublin in 1733.[1]

His military career began in 1716, where he served as Cornet. Pearce remained a Captain in Colonel Clement Neville's Dragoons (ca. 1720–1737).[2]

Born in County Meath, he died at his home, The Grove at Dun Laoghaire-Rathdown in Dublin.

Parliament

Member of Parliament for Ratoath, Ireland, 1727–1734.

Sir Knight of The Grove is not a proper title. I would replace Capt with Sir and move Capt to the Biography area with a source. If you have any questions on Name Fields for European Aristocrats see https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Help:Name_Fields_for_European_Aristocrats
