Edward Walton Pearson, Sr. was an African-American entrepreneur, Buffalo Soldier, Spanish–American War veteran and a civil rights leader.[1]
Edward Walton Pearson was born on January 25, 1872, in Burke, North Carolina, the son of Edward Pearson and Cindee Anery.
He married Annis E Bradshaw on January 24, 1917, in Buncombe, North Carolina.[2] They had three children during their marriage. He died on July 4, 1946, in Asheville, North Carolina, at the age of 74, and was buried there.
