Thomas was born December 9, 1820 in Rutherford County, Tennessee.
On August 31, 1842 he married Malinda T. White in Milton, Cannon County, Tennessee. [1][2] Their children were Sarah, Elizabeth, William, Eliza, Mary and Simon.[3]
He passed away May 18, 1884 in Izard County, Arkansas. He was laid to rest in Old Liberty Cemetery, Izard County, Arkansas, United States. [4]
