Biography

Alma was born on 13 March 1879, in Sweden. She was the daughter of Paul and Ellen (Mattson) Pearson. She arrived in the United States with her family on 10 September 1892. The family lived in Sioux City, Iowa, before moving to Rock Island, Illinois, in 1899.

On May 31, 1906, she married August F. Klebe, in Rock Island, Illinois. They had one daughter, Frances. August and Alma lived in Rock Island and Davenport, Iowa. They divorced between 1930 and 1933. In 1933, she and her daughter moved to Arizona. She lived near or with her until the time of her death on March 8, 1939. She was laid to rest in Chippiannock Cemetery, Rock Island, Illinois, with her parents.
