John Pearson was born to Joseph and Agnes (Moir) Pearson near Dafoe, Saskatchewan on Sept. 3, 1915. He attended Alton School. He farmed with his parents in the Prairie Rose district. John married Rose Robbins in Saint George's Anglican Church in Dafoe, SK on April 17, 1946. They had a son, Edward, and a daughter, Valerie. The family lived on their farm near Dafoe before they moved into the hamlet of Dafoe in 1953. After selling the farm in 1974, they moved to Wynyard, SK in 1975. John worked erecting a building for Unifeed in Wynyard. Later he was employed at the Coop Lumber Yard in Wynyard until he retired at the age of 65 due to health problems. John died on Jan. 3, 1989 in Regina. He is buried in Wynyard Cemetery, Wynyard, Saskatchewan.
