Mr Pearson was listed in Kelly's 1906 Directory for Bristol as a solicitor, with address: St. Stephen’s Avenue. Clare Street to Quay Hea. (Parish—St. Stephen.)[5]

When the 1901 census was enumerated, George was recorded as a lodger in the household of Henrietta Cousin, a boarding house proprietor, 53 Bernard Street, Bloomsbury (London). He was 23 years of age, and employed as an articled law clerk.[7]
