In 1940, the Peases lived on their farm in Center Township, Richland, North Dakota. They had lived in the same house for at least five years. They owned their farm, valued at $4000. Walter Pease, 65, was a farmer, with an outside income. His wife, Anna C. Pease was 63. [11]
Walter W. Pease died on 7 July 1956 in Douglas County, Minnesota. He was born on 16 July 1874. [12]
Walter W. Pease, 1874-1956, is buried with his wife, Anna C. (Edens) Pease (1876-1963), and a daughter, Florence Hannah (Pease) Simensen (1904-1991) at Fairview Memorial Gardens, Wahpeton, North Dakota. A son, Robert G. Pease (1909-1985) is buried elsewhere. Walter died, aged 81, long after a 1951 stroke, at an Alexandria, Minnesota hospital. He married Anna in 1897. They had eight children, one having died in infancy. Walter was survived by three sons and four daughters. [13] [14]
