Biography

Shubael Pease, the son of Abishai Pease and Mary Raymond, was born on 28 Dec 1786 at Wilton, Franklin, MAine,[1][2]

Betsy Pierce Washburn and Shubael Pease were married on 23 Apr 1807 at Wilton, Franklin, Maine.[3] They had at least the following children:

  • Shubael Pease, twin, b. 24 Jan 1808[4]
  • Charles Pease, twin, b. 24 Jan 1808[5]; d. 23 Dec 1860[6]
  • Mary Raymond Pease, b. 11 Oct 1809[7]
  • Louisa (Pease) Maxim, b. 9 Oct 1810[8]; d. 4 Jan 1892[9]
  • Sophronia Pease, b. 7 Dec 1811[10]
  • Sybil Willard (Pease) Colby, b. 11 Sept 1818; m. Nathan D. Colby; d. 1884[11]
  • Alvin Pease, b. 25 Dec 1822[12]

Shubael died in 1870 at Norridgewock, Somerset, Maine, and is buried at the Winding Hill Cemetery in Norridgewock.[13]
