Biography
Mabel Peat was born in Hopkinton, NY about 1897 to parents William and Jane (aka Jennie) Peat. Her brother Rafel was born one year later. Spelling of family name in Census records varies: Peet, Peat.[1]
By age 14 (1910) Mabel is no longer cited in Census residing with parents. [2]

1900 CENSUS: Mabel Peet, age 2, residence Hopkinton, NY, daughter of William Pete, a farm laborer, and Jennie Pete. Both parents born in New York. Paternal grandparents born in Canada. Brother: Rathel Pete, age 3
1910 Census: Same household but Mabel is not present.
