Biography

Esther was born 7 Jan 1658 in Rehoboth, Massachusetts. She was the daughter of John Peck (abt.1626-1713) and Elizabeth (Hunting) Peck (1634-bef.1667). [1] [2] [3]

Ester Peck and Jonathon Wilmarth (1658-1726) were married at Rehoboth, Massachusetts, on 29 Dec 1684. [4][5]

Esther died about 1756. She is buried in Briggsville Burial Ground, Attleboro, Massachusetts but no gravestone survives. According to a note at FindaGrave, this land was originally donated by her son, Stephen Wilmarth (1695-1765) and was known originally as the Wilmarth Family Burial Ground. [6]

Research Notes

Rehoboth Vital Records clearly states her birthdate as “Ester, of John, Jan. 7, 1658”. However her sister's birthdate in the same record is given as "Elizabeth, of John, Nov. 26, 1657". It's unlikely that Ester was born five weeks after her sister. As Jan-Mar dates of this time are usually written 7 Jan 1658-9, the latter date has been added to the birth field above as Wikitree would not accept the 1658 year on save.

Peck-3304 and Peck-1597 appear to represent the same person because: Same parents (the father is merged, but the mothers still need to be merged), consistent birth info (Seekonk was in Rehoboth), same husband, same death location.
