Charles was born on the 5 November 1838 in Marden Maidstone Borough, Kent.England. He was the son of Daniel Peck and Elizabeth (Gaskin) Peck. He was christen on the 15 November 1840 at the St Michael and All Saints Church, Marden, Kent, England.

Immigration

Charles travelled with his parents and 3 siblings to NZ on the CATHERINE STEWART FORBES arriving on the 24 June 1841, he was age 2 years 7 months. [1]

Marriage

He married Anne (Gaskin) Peck on the 1 September 1866 in Lower Hutt, Wellington, New Zealand. Ann was his 1st cousin - his mother and Ann's father were brother and sister. [2]They had about eleven children;

Death

Charles passed away on the 27 May 1901 at Dannevirke, Tararua District, Manawatu-Wanganui, New Zealand. age 62 .[3] He was buried on the 28 May 1901 in the Settlers Cemetery in Dannevirke, in the Tararua District, Manawatu-Wanganui, New Zealand. [4]
