William Peckham, born about 1670 as the second son of William Peckham and his wife Mary Pay, pursued a career as an apothecary and druggist in the city of Chichester. After a childless first marriage to Anne Barnard (1674-1711), in 1712 he married Anne Scutt,[1] and they had two sons.
