Kanutte Pedersdatter Leira was baptized on 11 May 1781 in Hjørundfjord, the daughter of Peder Arnesen and Brite Pedersdatter.[1]

In 1801 Canutte Pedersdatter (age 22) was a servant in the household of Jon Truelsen at Klok in Hjørundfjord.[2]

Kanutte married Jon Olsen Skylstad on 1 Jan 1804.[3] Their children were:

  2. Brit Jonsdatter (1807 - 1841)
  3. Ane Ingeborg Jonsdatter (1809 - 1906)
  4. Peder Johnsen (1811 - 1899)
  5. Anna Jonsdatter (1814 - 1904)

  7. Andrina Jonsdatter (1819 - aft.1900)
  8. Lars Jonsen (1821 - 1906)
  9. Carl Johannes Jonsen (1825 - )

In 1865 Kanutte Pedersdatter (age 85) was a widow and lived in the household of her son-in-law Martinus Annaniassen at Handlykken in Hjørundfjord.[4]

She died on 20 Dec 1873 in Hjørundfjord.[5] The age given on her burial record was 95 years.
