Aavet Kirstine was born on 17 May 1833 at Amurdokka under Elset, Solum.[1] She was the daughter of Peder Andersen Amurdokka and Karen Gurine Olsdatter.[1]
She was confirmed on 30 April 1848 in Solum.[2]
She went to America in May 1849 with her uncle Sondre Olsen and his family.[3]
Aavedt is (probably) on the 1850 US census as Christine Petersen age 18, Delafield, Wisconsin. She seems to be living with Margt. Thompson age 23, born in Scotland, Clain Thompson age 23, born in Scotland, a store keeper and Clain Thompson age 1 born in Wisconsin.
Aavedt married twice and was the mother of thirteen children.
