Anders Pedersen Aslaksrud and Anne Gulbrandsdatter KIittelsbye married on 11 Nov 1810.[1]
Children:
Karin (bap. 26 Dec 1810, conf. 1825)[2] Born at Kittelsbye, living at Aslaksrud Eie at conf.
Peter (bap. 26 Dec 1812)[3] Born at Kittelsbye Eie
No other children of Anders and Anne have been found in the church books, but it seems clear that they lived at various farms in Åsbygda from before 1810. They are both mentioned at the confirmation of Karin in 1825 and Anders Pedersen Aslaksrud is listed as the father of Petter at his wedding in 1848.
A confirmation is recorded for Anders Pedersen Aslaksrud, probably in 1806.[4] Unfortunately, both the date of the confirmation and the age of Anders are lost from the page edges, but an approximate year of birth of 1790 can be deduced.
Timeline
A vaccination record exists for Peter Andersen, dated 24 Aug. 1819, and records him as age 7, from Kittelsbye Eie, father: Anders Anders: Kittelsbye Eie. The name of the father must be in error. The vaccination of his sister, Karin (9) is recorded on the same day.[5]
The next record is the confirmation record for Karin Andersdatter (15), dated 1825. This records the parents as "Anders Peders: og Anne Gulbrandsd: Aslagsrud Eie"
Peter's confirmation should have been a year or two later, but has not been found.
Research Notes
No Anders Pedersen, or Peder, found at Aslaksrud in the census of 1801.
Note that the farms Aslaksrud, Kittilsbye, Kyta, Amundrud and Gundersby are all in the same area (Åsbygda) of Norderhoug. Other farms mentioned in 1801 are Aasterud, Alm, Schougstad, Schoug, ...
The engagement protocol (dated 7 Oct 1810) lists the cautionists as Truls Aslaksrud and Poul Aslaksrud.
Truls Torkildsen (1778 - 1832) is the farmer holding the main Aslaksrud farm.
Poul Aslaksrud. There is a Poul Gulbrandsen (24) serving at Aslaksrud in 1801, but he seems young to stand as sponsor. There is also a Poul Aastensen (77), but he seems also unlikely...
Godparents
Karin:
Anders Kythe = Anders Michelsen Kyta (b. 1782), son of Michel Ansteensen Kyta (~1740) and Anne Maria Olsdatter (~1751)
Anders Olsen
Iver Gundersbyes wife Mari = Mari Torgersdatter. Helge Iversen is their eldest son
Berte Maria Mikkelsdatter, daughter of Michel Andersen Kyta
Helge Iversen, eldest son of Iver and Mari Gundersbye
Peter:
Anders Gulbrandsen, possibly Anders Gulbrandsen (bap. 29 Feb 1784), who might be the brother of Anne. See her profile for details. Most likely the Anders Gulbrandsen who is 17 and serving at Schougstad in 1801. Anders Gulbrandsen Schougstad married Gjertrud Alfsdatter on 18 Nov 1811.
Anders Aslagsrud
Peder Ericksen
Anders Kyhtas' wife Marte = Mathe Andersdatter Rakkestad who married Anders Michelsen Kyta on 27 Dec 1809.[6]
Maria Mikkelsdatter
Regarding the rest of the godparents:
Anders Olsen: There are 44 with that name in Norderhov 1801...
Anders Aslagsrud: No grown up Anders at Aslaksrud in 1801
Peder Eriksen may be the son of Eric Rasmusen Wessetrud and Ingbor Joensdatter who is 21 in 1801.
Maria could be Berte Maria again, or another. There are several candidates in 1801.
Michel Andersen Kyta (~1740) and Anne Maria Olsdatter Sætereng (~1751) got married on 5 Mar 1778. The name is Michel Ansteensen in the census and tax protocols.[7] Children:
Iver Helgesen Gundersbye and Marit Torgersdatter got married on 28 Dec 1785. The engagement protocol of 15 Nov identifies them as Iver Helgesen Setrang and Marit Torgersdatter Gundersbye.[10]. Children:
Helge (~1786)
Anne (~1789)
Tollina (~1792)
Maria (~1795)
Berte Maria (~1798)
Candidates
Possible christenings for Anders in Norderhov around 1790:
26 Dec 1785: Peder Larsen Opperud and Olia Larsdatter Hiermboe's illegal son. The mothers farm must be Jermundbo (next to Opperud), so this is most likely the Anders Pedersen who is 16 there in 1801. His confirmation was in April 1801, age 15, thus excluded.[11]
11 Jun 1786: Peder Larsen Tossevigen and Ronauv Andersdatter's son. At Tossevig (Wiger annex) in 1801, with Anders the eldest son. Anders m. on 26 Oct 1816 to Gunnbjørg Ellingsdatter - excluded.[12]
29 Mar 1789: Peder Olsen Nordrog and Berte Maria Olsdatter's son. Peder and Berte Maria married on 1 May 1780. To Lier before 1801. At Lier in 1803. Conf. not found in Lier - not excluded.[13]
13 Sep 1789: Peder Hansen and Ingeborg Gulbrandsdatter's son. See profile for details. The problem with this candidate is that the couple baptise also their next son Anders (on 13 Jul 1794), most likely meaning that the first one died in infancy. (This Anders most likely died in April 1794, age 4).[14] The next Anders is not excluded, but would only be 12 in 1806, probably too young for the confirmation.
13 Jun 1791: Peder Andersen Semmen and Gunbjør Østensdatter's son. M. 7 June 1789 (Peder Andersen Ringrudeie & Gunbiör Østensdatter). Engagement 21 Feb. 1789 (Peder Andersen Lomdalen & Gunbiör Xstensdatter. Spons: Ole Lomdalen and Elling Rundhaugen). At Semmen in 1801.[15]
28 Jul 1793: Petter Ridder and Berte Andersdatter's illegal son. Anders Pettersen Hønefoss, buried 11 Aug 1793, 14 days old.[16]
Anders Pedersen Bierger? (17), conf. on 25 Oct 1801, at ?? annex.
Anders Pedersen Fiøsvogen (18), conf. 1804 at Wiger annex.
Anders Pedersen Mæhlengen (17), conf 1805...
Anders Pedersen Tandberg (bachelor, 37) married Marthe Olsdatter Rengaasen (38) on 28 Nov 1822. Anders Pedersen Tandberg, conf. 1794, age 14.
Peder Andersen Semmen-eje and Gudbjør Østensdatter:
Peter Andersen (b. Mar 1742, d. 1819) Søholl and Olina Sørensdatter (b. Aug 1764, bur. 1813-11-25)[18]
Anders (b. 1788, d. in infancy)
Kirstie (1789–1863), m. to Halvor Aslesen Hafnor [19]
Siri (~1794)
Anders (bap. 22 Feb 1795), m. 13 Apr 1824 to Lisbet Trulsdatter (b. 22 Jun 1794 in Hønefoss)[20] Uncertain: Helgeland?
Hans (b. 1800, d. in infancy)
Hans (b. 1802, bur. 5/3 1803)
Hans (b. 1804), conf. 1820.
Marie (b. 1807).
Probate after Olina, 30/5 1815, records two living sons (Anders & Hans) and one daughter (Dothe?) .[21] The farm was transferred to Kirstie's husband Halvor Aslesen 5/6 1816.
Other options
As Aslaksrud is on the border to Oppland, it is worth investigating candidates from the neighbouring county, Jevnaker:
Anders Pedersen, Norby, b. 1789. Excluded: At Slaadum in 1818.[22]
Anders Pedersen, Øren, b. 1787. Son of Peder Hansen (b. 1757) and Mari Andersdatter (b. 1758). Brother: Erik. Not excluded.
